A key part of South West Food & Drink's remit is the formation of groups to represent each of the broad producer areas within the industry. Whilst not all of the groups are yet fully formed, they are all being developed during 2004.
These are intended to be industry run groups to address specific sector issues and problems. Essentially, South West Food & Drink have set aside funds to spend on the sector groups between now and 2006 and we are looking to these groups to advise us on how best to spend it on helping the industry; this money is additional to the funds we are spending elsewhere on generic food and drink industry support.
